Think I'd like to attempt this. I've never done any taverns before, but I think I'll figure it out. Common furniture is good, right?
There's no real notes on these characters, either. Did anyone have any ideas with them already, or is it fine that I just go with what I'm thinking? Because I've already got something of an idea.
I'm thinking the son is somewhere around eighteen or nineteen. He could leave at this point if he wanted to, and he does, but his help is needed here and he'd feel incredibly guilty if he left. His sister is maybe around fifteen, and whether due to laziness or inability, she doesn't help out much in running the tavern. I'm more inclined to make it because she's sickly of crippled as opposed to laziness. Either way, tensions are high around here, and everybody is unhappy with the situation.
Despite all this, the son really wants to strike out on his own, and he wants to get the hell out of Stirk to do it. I'm thinking he wants to go and be a tailor in the Imperial City, having seen some really nice clothing worn by the locals here and imported from exotic places. (Mostly, I think I want an excuse to use some of those statics related to this.)
Reasaia is getting older, and while she loves her children very much, she just wants Tappin to wake up to the real world. She isn't going to be around forever, and she wants her son to take things over for her when it's time. She also wants to be sure that someone will be there to take care of her daughter.
Unbeknownst to her, her daughter is being courted by one of the locals. The girl is really rather taken by him, though it's questionable whether or not the man actually intends to marry her.
Maybe I should make a thread in the character development sub-forum for this? Or is that something more under your purview? Either way, I didn't really expect to spew so many ideas when I started typing.
