This is a thread for listing potential resources. This is where any suggestions should be made.

The models are by Kiteflyer. They use the marble texture from the lion fountain.

I'd like to use them for quarries, seeing as the Cyrodiils are pretty Roman and I'm sure quarries focusing solely on marble would be found all over Cyrodiil.

Just need to review the models. I know they have a stencil property, but I have no idea when that's allowed or not allowed. :/ That's Tarius' thing.

We are better off just making the blocks from scratch. Those are too lumpy to begin with. Just make some 6 sided blocks, add chamfered edges and that will be fine; if done right you dont even need a chamfered edge. I can garuntee this would be one of the easiest things to make.
One thing that many people dont realize about quarried stone is that in many cases, it cracks almost perfectly straight given the proper preparation. In the cases where it doesnt as easily, they usually carve it directly out in a rough block. I am sure there is plenty of info on quarrying methods and what not.

Now, I should say that we should go for a semi advanced method for them to quarry it using like a giant water/animal driven saw or something.

TDF: Which game is that(I assume its a game and not real life)
The Khan: If it was real life, we would know about it. And I dont think he means this Galaxy.
Tarius: Yes, I really lead a secret double life where I am a galactic overlord.

I actually requested this in the model request thread ages ago because everything I made turned out like a lego piece. So I asked Kite to do this for me over the IRC. So it kind of was made from scratch.

I know it doesn't look like naturally found marble, but I figured it would look find ingame, as no one would really care. But I can find a second texture.

Just so you know, I did do some research before making them...

Even with modern power equipment...

Smooth and flat is only after days (or months) of craftsmen working on them. :D

Well yes, Im not saying that it isnt rough or anything. I am saying that its going to be rather flat regardless if its rough or not.

Something like this:

The blocks dont come out terribly lumpy unless they break or are cut along a break. Anyway, it isnt anything that cant replicated with a texture and maybe a few polys, but not many.

They are not bad really. But I think we should have a bunch of the broken ones like in the foreground of that pic. They would also double as broken aylied structure as well then.
