Those could work for the low class Colovian stuff you guys seem to want.

If it's going to be a point of contention later on then I won't bother.

The contention is all now, beforehand...

I'm fine with shacks. Certainly they are needed in Nibenay. I don't necessarily think they are needed in Colovia, but several others do, so if they are made to fit the region I'm not going to keep them out. The round ones with lots of stone that are the most recent images would do well in Colovia. They are sturdy looking and rustic which are qualities that are needed fro the region, so I approve of that style being adapted.

The more variety the better, I would think. After all, we are modding Morrowind, and in Morrowind there are three types of architecture for any given region: the local political power's; velothi; and shacks. I Suggest we use the vanilla Nord houses as a sort of middle class, taking the place of Velothi, and being used for land-owning farmers and such; and those round cabins for miserable peasants who work the fields of all those Colovian lords and that sort of thing.

Since this is a relatively easy task, I have given this a first go. Still very WIP

With Jiubs Textures:

The same hut with vanilla Textures

Apparently I still need a plain rock-texture for the window and the doorframe and a suitable texture for the horizontal strips along the roof (what is it supposed to be, anyway?).

There are no details to see beyond what you can see on these shots. The backside is still entirely plain. Should there be an additional window?

I actually prefer the vanilla textures on that model.

Hmmm, the rocks look more sensible, perhaps the palm texture by Juib could be hued down a bit to match that of the vanilla, as I do prefer that one, but the vanilla colours. I also like the idea of the natural resource been so clearly used.

The model looks great, Worsas :)

The stone texture I included is definitely too round for that model though. I'll find another one that's more suitable (and if you want to send the model my way so I can play around with different textures and see how they look on it, that would be wonderful).

The second picture is alot better than the first. The first one looks too much like a scale model of some sort.

Anyway, yea, I was thinking about stone hovels(as opposed to huts) earlier but didnt mention them because I dont think they fit the gold coast. They would fit else where though.

With palm stuff, I imagine curved supports. Imagine a teepee except with flatter more definied sides and roof.

TDF: Which game is that(I assume its a game and not real life)
The Khan: If it was real life, we would know about it. And I dont think he means this Galaxy.
Tarius: Yes, I really lead a secret double life where I am a galactic overlord.

I don't have the model on this particular pc here. When I get back to the other pc, I can surely let you have the nif, although i would like to do a little bit more groundwork before I send it to you.

Googling for stone hovel, I found this, which is also nice:

Now that looks more like something we might see in Colovia. Very nice looking all around. I still like the palm hut idea, but maybe we leave that to Nibenay and get a more fitting design for that type of texture.

We could use that instead of the Nord set in the areas around Anvil, also.

It seems I have come up with something different, slightly more vanillish meanwhile:

Sorry for skipping your former offer, Jiub. :/ I had a different idea I really wanted to try out.

No need to apologize, they look great :) My only suggestion is that the wood frame on the square hovel should maybe use the palm bark texture from the Gold Coast trees in keeping with the original concept of using native resources.
