Stirk Model Request Thread

Postby Scamp » 21 Jul 2011, 01:33

Hi! In this thread, I would like to request models I need for Stirk.

I am going to start with the first thing I need for the city: A gate. The main entrance to the city.

I'd be really nice if someone could recreate something like ZackG's gate: :sheo: Click the smiley

Worsas can do a quick UV and Texture of anything. He does all of our quick fixes for us. he would do more but has his hands full with SHotN.

Well, the model is done and in my opinion it is a huge, huge improvement.

Can't say I wouldn't like it. Very good, looks like it's going to be the same thing, really. (Just what I am looking for)

Its close. The original is actually the the same model three different times over with the outer two being scaled down significantly. This model is made as one piece as builders would have actually set it up. Truth is, I got lazy the first time around, encountered some issues with that piece, and decided to ignore it.

I love it, the only thing is the collumns on the outside. The wall should join next to the second little door parts and the collumns just add another sort of entry point. If Scamp thinks he can use this as a proper gate then I am fine with them otherwise I think it might be better functionally without them. That is my only issue with it really is if can function as a gate properly. The entire model with or without collumns is a great gate for Stirk.

Hmmm, SamirA has a point there. If it's not too much trouble, could you modify it so that I can stick it together properly with the city walls?

Edit: Also, I can't help it, but it keeps reminding me of this

By the looks of it, Stirk is going to get two main entrances. Should I be using the same gate mesh, or is anyone going to make an alternative, smaller one?

Multiple gates is a must and I imagine the same gate should be used for both.

Two things: Firstly, I would say an exterior stair mesh would be useful. Something like the stair mesh seen in the foreground of this screenshot. Different variations of that would be cool, too.

Secondly: Maybe someone could retexture the vanilla dock pieces, so they are kinda similar to what you can see on this picture. I would quickly do it myself, but with my current skills at this kind of stuff I'd rather leave that up to someone else (where is my Scamp smiley now?) :nyansheo:

If you do this texture wolli, do not worry about the rope. Vanilla rope is fine as we want stuff to match up and not have odd bits here and there.

Can someone make a balcony or two? I would need those so I can hang the cloth lines from them.

I'd also love to see a holder for the banners.

I created a "prototype" Dwemer Ventilation Box almost a year ago now: http://cyrodiil.djgamer.net/downloads/dwe_vent_box.7z

I originally asked zackg to create a better version of it but anyone who can model can take this request since it's been so long.

Basically, I need a new, optimized version of this model-the box itself should probably be recreated from scratch since the one I created is just a series of flat planes roughly lined up into a box shape. The pipe parts can be copied into the new mesh however since they're original Dwemer stuff. I also need the part that connects to the pipe in the back to have a hole in it so that it properly connects. You can disregard the temporary texture I created to represent the hole.

I hope I made the instructions clear enough. If you look at my prototype you should be able to figure out what I want done. If you can't figure out how to apply the animation in whatever modeling program you use that's okay-as long as that surface is an independent trishape with its own texture I should be able to re-apply the animation in NIFSkope.

This mesh is for part of the interiors of the Eccentric Alchemist's underground garden and are a component of the miniature Dwemer Weather Machine he uses to simulate the climate conditions of his plants' native habitats.

Madness? THIS IS THE SHIVERING ISLES!!!...Of course it's madness!!
