Damn... I need to get on with creating characters to live in those houses. :)

Looks like everything is coming along well..

I'm only wondering why the stirk-banner looks so self-luminescent.

At some point somebody should check the material settings of all those different meshes and make them more uniform. As for the gate, I kept the material settings the wall-pieces and towers had. But the houses look to me as if they had different material-settings, seeing how they are so much lighter than the wall-meshes on the screenshots.

Example:

You can see the impact of the material settings when you look at that brick-texture within the doorframe and the same texture on the tower-mesh further left.

That is definately something we should explore before we release. There will be a round of polishing before stirk rolls into the community and that should be on the list. I think that the extreme bloom is playing a large roll in the glowing of these meshes though.

Yeah, sorry for my Morrowind setup. I'll kick out a file when the city is almost done and then everyone can check it out and see what glows.

Looks great. Can I suggest a change in color to the banner? Something red-yello or red white or anything really that matches with the architecture. Or keep the blue but desaturate it the banner until it looks worn

Yeah it needs to have some color tweaks to it. We have a tapestry and flags that fit much better. This banner has some material settings we need to change. It will be darker and more worn looking in the final.

Stirk is much bigger and prettier than I imagined.

I know, but I'm used to the TR Oblivion Stirk which has about five houses/shops, one fort, one lighthouse and a mine.

Is that before or after you finish that amazing TR Baan Malur? I don't know how you do it...

Baan Malur is finished. And it was finished so I could focus on RL for now, and I am taking a TR break so I can work on Stirk and Skyrim when I have the time, like at the weekend.

amazing job, all of you. after a few years of all the false starts, etc with this project, it's wonderful to finally see a good team that's working together to make actual, tangible progress.

i might actually have to make some room on the harddrive and re-install MW to check it all out.

again, great job, thanks for making it happen.
