PC_Col_C_Skirt_W1_01-05 [Final]

Postby Worsas » 29 Jan 2014, 00:07

4-5 skirts. 2 or 3 of them should have simple patterns (stripes or curves), the rest should be plain. Made from wool or linen. Muted colors.
These can be retexes of vanilla skirts.

Common skirts. Western style.

I'll go ahead and claim this. There should be no modeling work needed, so it's something I can bang out on my own.

Looks cool. I can't wait to see this in combination with the shirts later.

More than two months have passed since the last update. Are you still working on this?

No progress to report (as I mentioned in the other thread, real life has been kicking my butt recently) but I still need to match color tones to the shirts so that they can pair off reasonably well.

I modified the original skirts to be a bit shorter and narrower at the top so they intersect with our shirts as little as possible. I also changed uv-mapping a bit.

I'm probably still going to create a tan/brownisch and a red/purple variant.
Right now I'm a bit worried about the fact that due to the use of wool and the broad shape many of our colovian clothing pieces look like something you wouldn't like to wear at hot weather. Please let me know if my worry is baseless or if something needs to be done.

In today's cultures I would agree with that, but working with ancient style things I'd imagine they have to use whatever material they could and wool is the best most of these guys would have.

Perfecto.

The only thing is that the textures can probably stand to be halved in size to match the shirts more.

I don't think we need to worry much: one of the most famous Colovian articles of clothing is the Colovian Fur Helmet. There are also some texts that talk about how the Colovians find the heat in Nibenay very oppressive, suggesting that the Highlands are a lot cooler.
