Gold Coast Exterior: Q9 + P9 + P8 [Finished]

Postby Scamp » 14 Jan 2012, 16:41

Southern Gold Coast style. Look at the concept for inspiration.

To see the location of the claim, use this map.

This claim contains Gwenden Farm. Use PC_Ex_Anv pieces and other stuff you see fitting.

Claiming! The description explains everything. The farm and everything else are going to fit the size of the P:C Cyrodiil

Granting! Don't forget to flatten your land so that it roughly fits what you can see in the concept/GC merge.
Other than that, keep in mind that Gwenden Farm was just one building in Oblivion, so maybe we shouldn't overdo it in terms of size here. (Can be multiple buildings if you want, just no giant estate-kind of thing, if you catch my meaning)

Gwenden is a mis-spelling on the claim map. In Oblivion it's spelt Gweden (without the first 'n').

That should be remembered when the interiors are sprouted. The farm will have no more than two buildings. There will also be a cave in the claim.

Gweden should be noted as of the NPCing of the claim, I'll make sure to note it for the interiors as well. Good spot TDF.

Hm, I thought DJ had changed that for a reason... (That said, I was looking at it in the OBLTESIVCS to see how large it was and noticed the different name, and assumed DJ had had his reasons.)

Thanks! One fairly important thing is Fort Strand and determining if the fort is a ruin or still in use.

I think Fort Strand is so close to Anvil that having it full of Marauders like in Oblivion is a bit odd. I'm not sure what should be there instead though...

I will be removing the fort ruin pieces from data, they are not very good. As of now the forts can be made with the imperial fort set until something changes. You can either make it ruined or usable with the various pieces of the set though, and I have no preference as to which you decide upon. If it is in use it could be a training ground for the Anvil guards or some other such thing. Discussion on the fort is open though so everyone feel free to add input, preferably in a different thread devoted to the fort.

Wolli, in case you are interested in taking this one as well, just give the word. Otherwise, I take it.

I was thinking about Fort Strand the other day. Perhaps it could be an active fort, with a small garrison patrolling the southern GC and the Valenwood border. This lady's husband is a general who leads patrols in that area. The Anvil city watch will be too busy hunting criminals in Anvil and pirates in the Abecean, which leaves much of the GC unprotected.

I think this explanation and purpose makes the decision to use the vanilla fort set more justifiable.

I'm fine with having some active garrisons and some of the old style ruins. We will have new ruin pieces, they just are not complete at this time.

You can make pretty cool things with the vanilla set. Look at this old outpost in the mountains that I made for TR a while ago.

Gwenden Farm...
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Gweden_Farm

it was a lil' brothel thing on Oblivion... Which had opened recently.... so... Gwenden farm is going to be a dilapidated, poor, useless farm that looks abandoned due to the lack of profit it's providing for the farms owning it.

K? K?

Aight.

I've been working on Fort Strand a lot today. So far, due to it being Colovian, and because of TDF's post, it's a functioning Fort, but I've added more.

The Fort, built around the same time as modern Anvil, is placed upon a mound that over looks a stone quarry, and acts as the quarry's only entrance. The stone from here is used for the buildings in Anvil (the white ones), and is therefore an important part of Colovia, ergo Cyrodiil. The fort it's extremely grand and historic. I suppose there will be alord or someone, and it could be a "Colovian Estate."

Thoughts? If people like it, i shall begin gathering the resources. I need to make stone that can be placed to appear like these screens, but with white stone textures in theme with Anvil's textures.
