The New DJGamer.net Website

Postby DJGamer » 01 Jun 2011, 03:54

Finally I've gotten everything set up to a point where I feel confidant enough to make an official post about it.

I've set up my new website, intended to replace and expand upon my original Mod Projects website.

http://www.djgamer.net

It also has a Coppermine image gallery similar to ours: http://gallery.djgamer.net

Please feel free to provide feedback regarding the color scheme and graphics and so on as everything is somewhat tentative at the moment. Also, feel free to sign up for the forums. In fact, I want to make sure the registration process works so you'd be doing me a favor anyway.

I'd ask for some feedback on the new djgamer.net style, only it's so obviously better in every way. I also understand that the problem with the original theme was that it was quite simply too busy. Also, having more graphics means the pages take longer to load so the changes are for the better in more ways than one.

Any better now? :nyansheo:

(also making a note to add the Sheogorath emoticons to the website as well)

Is there a way to configure this board so that topics or threads that have new posts that I have not read will be highlighted or in bold, like how SHOTN or Bethsoft Forums has theirs?

Topics or threads with new posts are being hilighted though. I don't see a problem with the way it stands now, though of course others may agree with you.

They are? They all look the same color of brown to me. Screenshot link

Whereas with SHOTN, it is easy to see what topics or threads I have not yet read because they are highlighted in red. Screenshot link.

I was merely stating that a theme similar to that here on this web forum would be quite efficacious, in my opinion.

just use the "new posts" and ünread posts" links is an easy solution.

The red in your PC screenshot means there are unread posts. If you scroll right to the bottom of the board index page you can clearly see the key. Red means unread posts, grey/silver means no unread posts.

Ah, I wasn't paying attention to those icons. Thanks.

Indeed. Topics are also marked btw. Glad we solved your problem though.
