TDF's Showcase - [PROMOTED]

Postby TerrifyingDaedricFoe » 17 May 2011, 15:48

Hi guys.

Some of you may know me from Tamriel Rebuilt, where I'm an interiors modder. I'd quite like to get involved with this project as well.

I tried to upload my TR showcase but I got a message saying 'The extension esp is not allowed.'

Let's hope my TR credentials are enough. ;)

Thank you for posting TDF. I will look into fixing the .esp problem. Skyrim had the same issue yesterday.

Hi TDF, welcome!

If you've passed TR's showcase, you should have the skills we ask for becoming a PC modder.
Still, just post a link to your TR showcase, no need to attach it here, and someone will take a look at it.

I'll look into this as well, it should be a simple matter if I can find where the allowed extensions area is in the ACP.

Edit: Added ESP and ESM formats to the allowed file extensions. For future reference this is changed in Posting->Attachments->Manage Extensions/Manage Extension Groups

They are part of a new Extension Group called EX_GROUP_CS and I've assigned a special icon to it as well based on the CS icon.

I thought the Skyrim website was completely broken? http://www.skyrim.co.uk certainly is for me.

Anyway, the link to my showcase is http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23030

Could you go ahead and try to post your ESP anyway just to test out whether or not I've gotten it to work?

I tried, but the bar fills up over and over again and nothing happens. I left it for about a minute and it didn't upload, whereas on the TR website it uploads in seconds. Either this website normally takes forever to upload files or something's wrong.

I tested it myself in the private forums and it appears to be working fine-there's no file size limit that I'm aware of, everything's set to "0" which means (oddly enough) unlimited size.

Perhaps a connection issue TDF, regardless you are qualified to mod interiors here and will be promoted as such.

Question Time :P

1) Is there a file somewhere with all of the work that's been completed so far so I can have a look and admire?
2) Is there a file equivalent to TR_Data with all of the new objects and models in?
3) Are there any interiors available for claiming, because if so I can't find them?

Thanks

Interior claims haven't been worked out yet. I'm guessing we should maybe for instance have a map of the proposed city/town layout and use that as an "Interior Claim Map".

At one point an interior claims forum was suggested but I felt it would work better as a single thread for each town listing the claims, if they're taken and who's taken them. There will probably also be a separate thread for dungeon claims as well. I might start putting together lists of which dungeons appear in which regions from Oblivion then we'll decide on how many additional dungeons we'll be adding from there.

Well TDF, the mod is not ready yet for interior claims ;) Not even exteriors are available for claiming.
PC_data will be made available when claims come up, I guess. We have it though.

I've been promoted for Quests at Tamriel Rebuilt with file below. Can I be promoted here as well please? Although my rank appears to be Multi-Modder already...

Yes, you have already been promoted for quests here TDF. I monitor our team members progress on all projects. If you get promoted at one you get promoted here as well (once you join the team of course).
