Re: Ald-Ma' Cyrod's Thingies

I don't suppose anyone who understands nifskope a bit better could take a look at this model? it looks fine in nifskope but in game its not visible http://www.2shared.com/file/vD-7qsAJ/000_AD_nibtunic_01.html Hmm, a quick look and I dont see why there is a problem. Perhaps it has to do with the bon...

Re: ESO keep designs

Pseudo-Gothic would be interesting if we explain it as an influence of Ayleid design. Sort of a reversal of the Classical/Medieval architectural values. I dont know about that. The closest you can come is that there is some ribbing in ayleid structures but thats about it, there isnt anything else i...

Re: Ald-Ma' Cyrod's Thingies

id argue the point that neither this mod nor indeed any elder scrolls game is trying to emulate real life. however, give me a mo and ill dig out the references Well, I am not saying it has to emulate real life, but I am saying that it should emulate practicality(which is the word I was trying to th...

Re: Sutch files.

I'd like to see it next to some building for reference before saying it is too grand although having both this version and a shorter one will make things easier in the end as we decide exactly how we want Sutch to look. In the river before the cliff city this size seems pretty good, but it may end ...

Re: Sutch files.

Actually, its not that tall. Seems about the height or just a little taller than those Dwemer towers.

Re: Some helpful new pieces for Stirk

@Tarius: will do. Do you have a screenshot of those top ceiling beams and what you want to do with them? On the interior pieces, there was a beam that used a white ornamental carving texture. It was squashed; there should have been more repeats of the texture horizontally than there was. I can not ...

Re: Some helpful new pieces for Stirk

Here's a fix I came up with: http://i1285.photobucket.com/albums/a584/Infragris/Stirk_UV_WIP_zpsbd24e786.jpg It's not perfectly in line with the source texture, but should allow the carvings to come out across two pieces. I'd like a second opinion before I start working over the entire set, though....

Re: Sutch files.

Thats four pieces connected. If you'd like some specific modular pieces let me know what you'd be looking for. My intention was for it to connect the piece I made previously to another bridge so they'd create an L shape back to the cliff. When I finish with it ill arrange it how I mean and then sho...

Re: Some helpful new pieces for Stirk

That's a tricky fix. You're talking about the flowery wood-carvings, yes? That's an issue for the entire set, I've noticed. I'll see what I can do. This. Wolli did them originally and I pointed that out then but he couldnt be bothered to go back and fix it. And I of course have been busy with other...

Re: Sutch files.

I will take a look at it today and see whats what. I just took a look. Its a good start, but a couple things need work. A couple textures need seams removed and a couple are too "close" up and would be better replaced. The buildings are fine but I think he was too conservative on the polys...

Scamp, post some tree concepts, I'm going to be working in NGplant for the next two days.

I havent had a ton of experience with NGplant, but it seems like its not the best thing to use.

Re: Tropical environments

The Great Forest will be the most jungled and dense region. We will have to strike a balance between performance and density there. Mostly this will mean our models need to look good, but be low poly or we will kill framerate. By the time this area is worked on and released, OpenMW v1.0 will most l...

Re: Can any race join the Imperial Legion?

I dont remember seeing the beast races in the legion though. However, I am sure that the legion would regularly contract out services of people to do things and this would definitly include the beast races. The vast majority of legionares in Cyrodiil are going to be Imperials though. I would guess t...
